by admin477351

House prices in Italy experienced a growth of 4% in the second quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year, marking a slowdown from the 5.1% increase observed in the first quarter, as reported by national statistics. The real estate market across major Italian cities showed varied trends in price increases.

Turin saw the most significant rise among the major cities, with house prices jumping 8.5% year-on-year. This increase was notably higher than the 3.8% growth recorded in the first quarter, indicating a robust demand in the region.

Rome also showed a healthy increase in property prices, recording a 6.4% rise compared to the same period last year. This was an acceleration from the 5.5% growth seen in the first quarter, suggesting a steady upward trend in the capital’s housing market.

Conversely, Milan experienced a noticeable deceleration in house price growth. Prices in the city rose by 2.4% year-on-year, a significant drop from the 7.1% increase recorded in the first quarter. This slowdown may reflect changing market dynamics or a stabilization following rapid growth earlier in the year.
